Ricky Nana Agyemang (Bullet), CEO of one of Ghana’s most prolific hit-making labels Rufftown Records, is again at a crossroads with two of her signees.
In a sensational reveal, organizers of the 3Music Awards pitched two of Rufftown’s biggest lady proteges, Ebony Reigns and Wendy Shay, against each other.
And now Bullet is unsure who to pick.
Ebony recorded two outstanding years as Rufftown Record’s poster girl before her untimely demise in February last year.
And after the controversies of Ebony’s death culminated in a negative spiral for Bullet’s label, up stepped Wendy Shay.
The rookie took 2018 by storm just a few months after Ebony’s death, announcing herself with several back-to-back hits to both cement her credibility and almost relegate memories of her fallen predecessor.
Now both of the industry’s most controversial divas of the past half-decade are expected to square off for the ultimate in the standout Music Woman of the Year category.
We are not sure who deserves it more over the year in review. We are not sure Bullet has figured out who does either.
But no matter which of them earns the most gongs when the awards come off at the Fantasy Dome on Saturday, 30th March, 2019, Rufftown Records will be the winner. Just don’t tell Ebony’s dad. Ssshhh…
