Tanzania’s most storied Gospel music act, Rose Muhando, is broke and broken after being left hospitalized in an undisclosed hospital in Kenya.
A member of the star’s team, Daudi Mashimo, confirmed that the star was yet to recover from a severe illness which has kept her detained for several days and was pleading for both financial and spiritual support from the public but fell short of confirming or denying if drug addiction and abuse was behind the sickness.
Weeks ago, a video went viral of the 42year old Gospel music icon being exorcised of demons by the divisive Kenyan televangelist James Ng’ang’a, who himself escaped jail earlier this year in an infamous murder trial.
But the exorcism has apparently done nothing to liberate a star who has worryingly been plagued with more troubles than table topping tunes in recent times.
The star went on a self-imposed exile in Kenya in August this year citing death threats on her life. Now it is sickness which threatens the fiercest with the star’s condition said to be deteriorating by the day.
Her family which has since relocated to Kenya in order to lend support at her bedside has appealed to the state to help her return home to continue treatment.
